Tarong Community
BMD Constructions was engaged by Tarong Energy throughout 2009 on the Ash Handling Project, during which time many of the 80-strong workforce made the area of Nanango their home.
The workforce was eager to give back to the community which so warmly welcomed them and so a fundraising initiative was launched on site. BMD matched all employee contributions, allowing for much needed funds to go to special needs individuals and schools in the area.
As a result, two local residents received assistance, one receiving an overhaul to his living quarters and the second provided with a special wheelchair. Additional funding was also presented to Special Schools Queensland, Montrose Access, Camp Quality and the Starlight Foundation.
