BMD awards 2012 Civil Engineering and Construction Bursary
2 December 2011 - BMD is proud to announce the recipient of their 2012 Civil Engineering and Construction Bursary in conjunction with the Queensland University of Technology. Georgia Ackland has won the opportunity to work alongside BMD engineers (when she is not attending her classes, of course) as well as $5,000 towards her tuition fees for the next two years.
Georgia completed a number of stages in the selection process that showcased her academic merit, leadership skills, and her personal commitment to a career in the construction industry. Demonstrating her ability to work in a team environment was also a crucial part of the selection process.
In the final stage of the selection process, Georgia and other short-listed applicants were invited to attend interviews with BMD. During her interview, Georgia's intelligence and enthusiasm for her chosen career path were unmistakeable.
Georgia was presented with her award at the Distinguished Constructor Awards Ceremony in November.
