The BMD Urban team enforce strong presence in Australia’s south

BMD Urban has continued to deliver impressive results in Australia’s south, made possible by the efforts of a team of people who show outstanding commitment to delivery, collaboration and customer service.

BMD Urban was recently awarded the Brooks Reach – North McPhails Phase 2 project for Stockland in Horsley, New South Wales. The project involves the upgrade of approximately 900 metres of the existing Bong Bong Road and Hayes Lane under live traffic as well as a 161 lot subdivision including earthworks, sewer, stormwater, culverts, numerous stormwater structures, pavement construction, retaining walls, water main and other utilities. As part of the project, our team is delivering a predetermined number of housing lots with a H1 lot classification. Detailed attention to the cut to fill and import operations will ensure this key objective of our client is delivered as required.

In the nation’s capital, BMD Urban was awarded a Master Builders Association award in the Civil Subdivision category for the Moncrieff East Residential Estate at the Excellence in Building Awards ACT. The awards recognise the brilliance in design, talented skills and workmanship, innovation, determination and the collaboration that goes into creating an award winning project. The project team worked collaboratively to deliver best practice techniques to avoid traffic congestion, reduce pollution and minimise noise on neighbouring roads. The project was delivered three months ahead of schedule and within budget whilst setting new benchmarks in quality and safety performance.

In Victoria, BMD Urban has experienced a strong increase in residential development, and coupled with continued commitment and hard work, the team tripled the number of lots awarded in the 2015/2016 Financial Year at 1,605 lots. The Merrifield Estate is just one of the many project’s being delivered in Victoria, 35 kilometres north of Melbourne’s CBD and will ultimately spread over 900 hectares. The project is being delivered for MAB Corporation and is exceeding the client’s expectations, both in timing and cost savings. All aspects of the project are continuously being completed to a high standard of quality with minimal defects noted at the completion of each stage. The project team has recently completed phase A of the residential component at a value of approximately $30 million. Due to our strong performance on the project, the team was awarded phase B with works expected to continue until December 2017.
