BMD celebrates safety outcomes with one million hours LTI free

In April, BMD Constructions’ Northern Region reached 1,000,000 man hours Lost Time Injury free.

This milestone is a great achievement, attributed to BMD’s commitment to the continuous improvement of systems and safety.

This achievement follows numerous new safety initiatives that have recently been launched across the BMD Group.

Safety Improvement Plans have been released for BMD Constructions and BMD Urban, with more currently in development. These plans, which are available to our clients, specifically detail the actions that our companies will take in our steps towards continuous improvement and Zero Harm.

Another initiative includes the recent BMD Urban ‘Safety Day’ attended by more than 250 employees.

The day concentrated on creating an open environment to discuss our shared interest in getting everyone home safely and fusing this mindset for all company works.

The day was attended by BMD Group Executive Director – Operations, Scott Power, along with BMD Urban’s senior management team and received great feedback from attendees about the dynamic workshops including presentations by Danger Sun Overhead’s, Joanne Crotty.
