The Territory heats up with projects

As BMD’s presence in the Northern Territory reaches a milestone of 18 years, the Territory is heating up with project across a range of sectors calling upon BMD’s expertise in a range of capabilities.

At the Darwin RAAF Base, BMD Urban is nearing completion of a 80 lot subdivision. This project has also seen BMD Consulting engaged to design the subdivision.

Following the successful completion of ‘The Boulevard’ earlier in 2015, the City of Palmerston appointed BMD Urban to deliver the Goyder Square development. Goyder Square is to become a green heart of the city providing a continuous open space link from Goyder Square to Water Town Park.

JMac Constructions is working with BMD Urban to deliver the project that will include tree line paths, open grassed areas, zero depth water feature, outdoor seating area and a large outdoor video screen.

Also in Palmerston, BMD Urban is delivering an upgrade to the existing Yarrawonga Road which will provide access to the Gateway Shopping Centre, currently under development. These works include roadworks, kerb and drainage.

In the centre of Darwin BMD Urban is working with utility owner, Power and Water Corporation, to deliver upgrades to the Mitchell Street sewer and the Bagot Road water transmission line.

Working within urbanised areas, BMD Urban has effectively managed traffic management including maintaining access to businesses and homes as well as pedestrian and cyclist thoroughfares throughout construction activities.

BMD Constructions continues to serve as Managing Contractor for the Department of Infrastructure’s Tiger Brennan Drive Duplication from Woolner Road to Berrminah Road. The project remains on track for completion in mid-2016.
