BMD Constructions Awarded Two Key Highway Projects

BMD Constructions has been awarded two $14 million packages for the Department of Transport and Main Roads.

The Bruce Highway Managed Motorways project commenced in March 2014 and anticipated completion is October 2014. The scope of works involves upgrading the existing southbound on-ramps, installation of dynamic ramp metering, variable message signs, CCTV cameras and upgrading the existing communications system. The project will also undertake works to upgrade the capacity of the Boundary Road Interchange.

Reconstruction works on the Flinders Highway between Hughenden and Cloncurry are part of a program of works being delivered for to the Department of Transport and Main Roads.

These projects continue BMD’s strong relationship with the Department of Transport and Main Roads and add to the company’s diversified capability in the road and highway sector. The two packages will improve safety, ease congestion and benefit motorists approaching Brisbane.
