BMD continues to deliver for RMS

BMD Constructions’ expertise in civil road construction is being exemplified as three Roads and Maritime Services projects near simultaneous completion in New South Wales.

BMD Constructions has had numerous consecutive RMS projects underway with three now nearing completion. Camden Valley Way – Stage 3, Narellan Road and Terrigal Drive projects will all be completed between now and early 2016.

BMD Constructions General Manager NSW and ACT, Craig Smith said, “I am incredibly proud of the work that the BMD Constructions project teams have delivered on the Camden Valley Way, Narellan Road and Terrigal Drive RMS projects. BMD Constructions drives quality products for our clients that is delivered in the safest and most efficient way possible”.

RMS appointed BMD Constructions to the Camden Valley Way – Stage 3 project in late 2013. The project has involved a 3.2km upgrade from Bringelly Road to Ingleburn Road.

The Camden Valley Way project team has effectively managed the interaction between live traffic and construction on the major arterial road, minimising impacts to nearby stakeholders and road users.

The Narellan Road Upgrade (Stage A) project, between the Hume Highway and Blaxland Road, Campbelltown, is on track for early completion next month.

BMD Constructions has delivered approximately 1.6km of widening works along Narellan Road as well as upgrades of the Hume Highway southbound off-ramps.

The upgrade of Terrigal Drive project experienced a major storm event in April this year, receiving more than 300mm of rain within 48 hours. Despite areas of Terrigal being without power for days and major damage to BMD Construction’s work site, the project team has overcome this to get back on track for their targeted completion date next month.

BMD Constructions was also appointed to the Bringelly Road Upgrade – Stage 1 in early 2015 and has made great progress across the 5.7km alignment. The project team is currently planning for a major traffic switch that will see the realigned section of Bringelly Road meet the existing Camden Valley Way signalised intersection.
