BMD Group Celebrates 20 Years in North Queensland

BMD Group recently celebrated its 20 year milestone in North Queensland.

On behalf of BMD Group, Group Board Chairman and Managing Director, Mick Power hosted an event for distinguished clients, partners and subcontractors who have helped contribute to the company’s success in North Queensland.

Since BMD’s inception in 1979, the company has built a strong reputation in the Urban Development market. Leveraging off this past performance, BMD saw an opportunity to expand into North Queensland in 1994.

BMD’s project portfolio in North Queensland began with the award of Stage 42 of Delfin Property Group and Defence Housing Australia’s Willow Gardens Estate, a 110 hectare master planned community for the Department of Defence.

Since then, BMD has expanded their capabilities in the resource, mining and urban development sectors.

Showcasing BMD’s unique integrated model was the joint venture project Kalynda Chase, in 2005. Led by Urbex, Kalynda Chase emphasised BMD Group’s cohesive offering with BMD Constructions, BMD Consulting and JMac Constructions all engaged in the project’s delivery.

The past 20 years in North Queensland has reaffirmed the company’s strengths in the quality of their people and the genuine relationships with clients, partners and communities. BMD looks forward to continual growth in the region a successful future for the Group.
