BMD Group continues sixth year at highly sought after Zuccoli Village in the Top End

BMD Group subsidiary companies Urbex, Empower Engineers & Project Managers (Empower) and BMD Urban have commenced construction of Phase 3.3 of the Zuccoli master planned residential development earlier this month. 2018 marks the sixth consecutive year that Urbex has been working with the Land Development Corporation on the sought-after residential development located in Palmerston, Northern Territory.

The project illustrates BMD’s vertical integration strategy with BMD Urban delivering the civil works for 50 residential land lots, Empower providing engineering design and supervision, Urbex, in joint venture with the Land Development Corporation developing the residential estate, and Urbex Realty marketing and selling the house and land solutions.

Due to be completed in May 2018, the project team has implemented innovative construction methodologies and dynamic scheduling in response to the extreme rain events that are likely to occur in Darwin’s wet season. BMD Urban and Empower have employed strict erosion and sediment controls in preparation for the wet weather.
