BMD recognises star employees

July saw employees from across the country trade their steel caps and hi-vis for suits and cocktail dresses at BMD’s annual Dare Awards.

Named after Mick Power’s father, Dare, the BMD Dare Awards celebrate his legacy in helping to build BMD from the ground up. It’s the qualities that he embodies which are acknowledged at these annual events.

Seven events were held nationally to recognise and reward employees who had demonstrated outstanding performance and made a significant contribution to the business within the past year.

The awards comprised of five categories which aligned with the company’s values of Family, Empowering, Determined, Collaborative and Striving to do better, plus a Health Safety Environment Quality (HSEQ) award and an All Rounder award for each state.

480 nominations were received for the Dare Awards, illustrating how keen BMD employees are to recognise their colleagues for the great work they do.
