BMD Urban continues to deliver exceptional urban developments

Last month, BMD Urban delivered a 161 lot subdivision and an upgrade to 1 kilometre of external road at Brooks Reach – North McPhails Phase 2, for Stockland, in Horsley, New South Wales. Located in the foothills of the Illawarra escarpment, the community is only a 20 minute drive south of Wollongong.

The project team overcame numerous challenges over the duration of the works including significant rainfall events and unanticipated hard rock during earthworks and service installation. BMD provided an accelerated programme with key milestones to enable the client the best opportunity to settle lots within the 2016/2017 financial year.

As part of the project, BMD provided the client with a predetermined number of housing lots with a H1 lot classification. Close coordination of the cut to fill and import operations ensured specified materials were placed within the correct layer profile required to achieve these lot classifications.

The project builds upon BMD Urban’s relationship with Stockland and the successful completion of previous works across the country.
