BMD win two prestigious Civil Contractors Federation South Australia Earth Awards

Last Friday, BMD celebrated two wins for two extremely successful projects at the Civil Contractors Federation (CCF) Earth Awards in South Australia for Kauri Parade Tennis Courts in Category 2 (projects valued $1 million to $5 million) and Henley Square in Category 3 (projects valued $5 million to $10 million).

The Earth Awards have the specific aim of recognising outstanding work in construction and environmental excellence which reflects development and use of the best technologies and practices by Australian civil contractors.

BMD completed the Kauri Parade Tennis Courts one month early with zero incidents and provided in excess of $1 million in “Whole of Life” cost savings for the client. The project has delivered eight tennis courts and two interchangeable sport courts for the local community.

Henley Square was delivered with a strong focus on collaboration between BMD and the client, achieving zero lost time injuries, saving the client $800,000 and delivering the project on time with minimal impact to the surrounding community and environment. The redevelopment involved a complete revitalisation in one of Adelaide’s busiest beachside suburbs, and has become an enduring asset to the wider Adelaide community.

BMD’s ability to deliver high quality projects that meet client expectations is a testament to the project teams’ commitment to client relationships and the effective and efficient management processes instilled in the project teams.

BMD are extremely proud of our high performing teams who have employed BMD’s relationship based approach to contracting, achieving best for project outcomes on these two public infrastructure projects.

Both projects will now proceed to the CCF National Awards, which are being held on 4 November in Canberra.
