Convincing Victory for BMD Northcliffe

BMD Northcliffe Surf Club took out their 11th straight Queensland Champion Club Title at the Queensland Surf Life Saving Championships held at North Kirra on the weekend.

It was a convincing victory, with Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club 318 points behind. BMD Northcliffe was awarded 36 gold, 22 silver and 26 bronze medals in total. Standout performers included Shannon Eckstein and Tate Smith, who both received three gold medals each.

Future events include the Queensland Junior Surf Life Saving Championships at North Kirra Beach on Friday 14 March 2014. This event will see junior members striving to perform their best to claim back the Champion Club Titles.

In three weeks, the Australian Surf Life Saving Championships will be held at Scarborough, Western Australia. BMD Northcliffe will be competing for their 10th consecutive Australian Champion Club Title.
