Expansion into Western Australia and Townsville Milestone

BMD Group has recently expanded its presence into Western Australia and crossed a major milestone in Townsville.

BMD now has a base in each mainland state of Australia, enabling the company to better serve national clients as well as the local markets in each State and Territory. Western Australian Construction Manager, Mick Slocombe is heading up the Perth office that offers civil and industrial construction services for major infrastructure projects.

BMD Group recently celebrated its 20 year milestone in North Queensland at an event for its employees, distinguished clients, partners and subcontractors who have helped contribute to the company’s success in the region.

BMD saw an opportunity to expand into North Queensland in 1994 with the award of Stage 42 of Delfin Property Group and Defence Housing Australia’s Willow Gardens Estate, a 110 hectare master planned community for the Department of Defence.

2005 went on to highlight BMD’s unique integrated model with the joint venture project, Kalynda Chase as well as the award of Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal 7X Expansion. Other projects included the award of The Tully Alliance project in 2007, North Shore Estate (JMac) in 2008, Hay Point Expansion and the Cairns Bruce Highway Upgrade in 2010 and most recently, Blakey’s Crossing.

The expansion into Western Australia and the past 20 years in North Queensland has reaffirmed the company’s strengths in the quality of their people and the genuine relationships with clients, partners and communities. BMD looks forward to continual growth in Australia a successful future for the Group.
