High safety standards set at the annual South East Queensland Safety Training Day

BMD Urban and JMac Constructions reinforced our strong commitment to Zero Harm by hosting South East Queensland’s annual Safety Day at the Capestone project in Mango Hill, at the end of June.

With over 330 BMD Urban and JMac Constructions staff in attendance, the training day targeted BMD’s key focus areas including excavation management, risk identification, plant awareness, traffic management, manual handling and working near services.

The training day featured guest speakers from the Australian Drug Foundation and Spinal Life who provided engaging presentations about the importance of looking after yourself at home and work.

BMD Urban’s General Manager, David Moody said, “The safety day was an important opportunity for all employees, from labour staff to senior management, to come together and renew our safety commitment through a range of practical, forward thinking and focused initiatives.

“We take safety seriously, and we will continue to invest in the safety of our people through training opportunities such as this, which is proven to have an immediate impact on our employees,” David said.

BMD is genuinely committed to supporting our staff evidenced by the training day, which was an outstanding success renewing our safety commitment across the workforce.
