Investments in safety return significant milestones

BMD Constructions and BMD Urban have both reached significant safety milestones across Australia in the past few months.

BMD Constructions recently celebrated 250,000 man hours Lost Time Injury (LTI) free while delivering the $65 million Camden Valley Way – Stage 3 project on behalf of Roads and Maritime Services NSW.

BMD Urban’s Gold Coast Parklands project reached more than 150,000 hours LTI free this month. The project achieved the safety milestone while still meeting tight project deadlines and having experienced months of inclement weather conditions.

The BMD Constructions’ ACT team achieved 100,000 hours Lost Time Injury free at the Moncrieff Estate Stage 1 and 5 project sites in early August.

The results demonstrate BMD’s continued commitment to Zero Harm, an initiative that has been in place since early 2012. BMD continues to invest in the safety of our people through training opportunities, regular audits of sites, analysis of trends and the adoption of preventative strategies.
