Privately-owned major Australian infrastructure company BMD Group press for progress

Privately-owned major Australian infrastructure company, the BMD Group is providing greater flexibility for primary and secondary carers with a new paid parental leave offering launched today.

Primary carers are now entitled to 18 weeks of full paid parental leave or 36 weeks at half pay, with access to flexible working arrangements and return-to-work strategies. The policy allows employees to take up to 52 weeks leave in total including unpaid leave.

In addition, BMD also recognises the important role that secondary carers provide to families and now offer 1 week full salary parental leave in addition to access to unpaid leave.

With 1,700 employees, BMD is one of Australia’s largest privately-owned construction, consulting and urban development organisations and demonstrates a high level of commitment to employees.
