  • construction of aviation maintenance hangars and logistics support sheds
  • construction of sewer, water, stormwater, electrical and communication services for the future command and maintenance infrastructure
  • construction of internal roads, street lighting and revegetation
  • construction of two concrete helipads and nine concrete helicopter hardstand areas

Outcomes

BMD Constructions proposed and implemented a redesign of the electrical reticulation system, reducing the number of substations and conduits, and lowering the client’s construction and ongoing maintenance costs. In working collaboratively with the client, the project team was able to incorporate scope changes throughout the project and engage local resources where possible to enable local participation and ensure the best for project outcomes.
