  • modification works to the existing treatment plant
  • construction of new treatment tanks and pipework
  • electrical and instrumentation installation
  • civil and road works
  • construction of a new dewatering system
  • construction of a new chemical closing building containing a dual dosing system

Outcomes

The project team made a concerted effort to ensure that a high quantity of Northern Territory suppliers and subcontractors were engaged for the project, demonstrating BMD’s strong commitment to local participation.

As construction started in the wet season, the project team proactively prepared contingency plans including site dewatering of excavations and scheduling of construction activities within the existing treatment plant to minimise potential disruptions.
