Scope
The scope of work included:
- construction of 212 metres of concrete canal revetment walls between 1.9 metres and 4.2 metres in height
- 1700m2 of irrigated landscaping
- 3720m2 of interim rock protection
- 4296m2 of permanent rock protection
- interim salinity water exchange system.
Outcomes
Construction works were undertaken within a live drainage canal, which is a highly sensitive environment. In line with BMD’s holistic approach to safety, water ingress was constantly managed, and temporary
water diversion drains and coffer dams were implemented.
This project highlights BMD’s vertically integrated capabilities with BMD Urban delivering the landscaping works in partnership with fellow BMD Group company, JMac Constructions. Through effective communication and a collaborative approach to best for project outcomes, the joint team delivered a high quality finish for the client, on schedule.
