Rob has over two decades of experience working in the civil construction industry, spending the last 14 years with BMD. He started his career with BMD as a Leading Hand in North Queensland and has progressed through roles including Foreman, General Foreman, Superintendent, Construction Manager and Operations Manager, before being promoted to his current role of General Manager.
With a solid background in major works including rail, port, resource, bridge and road infrastructure projects, Rob uses his broad knowledge base to guide project teams to deliver projects to strict delivery timeframes without compromising quality and safety standards.
Rob’s approach is reminiscent of BMD Group Executive Director – Paul Fogarty. Involved from the early stages of Rob’s career with BMD, Paul’s leadership style and ability to unlock the potential of others is evident in Rob’s own approach to management and leadership.
Rob has built his career from a physically demanding ‘blue collar’ position to cement himself in a ‘white collar’ position, the first at this level at BMD. He brings a unique, hands-on style of leadership that is firmly underpinned by integrity and a genuine belief that collaboration will always yield the best outcomes.
