BMD Constructions developing strong relationships in New South Wales

The BMD Constructions NSW team continues to demonstrate their expertise in civil road construction with a number of milestones hit early this year including the completion of Narellan Road (Stage 1) and Terrigal Drive for Roads and Maritime Services (RMS).

BMD Constructions General Manager NSW and ACT, Craig Smith said, “We have an excellent working relationship with RMS and are proud to deliver these key infrastructure projects, providing safer and more efficient journeys for commuters throughout NSW.”

BMD Constructions has successfully delivered a major arterial corridor with the first stage of the Narellan Road upgrade opening to traffic at the beginning of April. Motorists in Western Sydney are now benefiting from improved road connections including a safer and less congested road. The 1.6 kilometre road widening was delivered with minimal traffic disruption, an exceptional achievement for the project team on a road that is rated one of the worst in Sydney. In line with BMD’s philosophy to support the local communities in which we work, a significant portion of contracts were awarded to Western Sydney business and suppliers providing more job opportunities for the local community.

Another successful project delivered in Terrigal early this year is Terrigal Drive at the intersections of Charles Kay Drive and Brunswick Road. The $25 million upgrade included widening works to two lanes in each direction, shared pedestrian and cycle path and the installation of traffic lights to reduce peak hour traffic queues and improve safety for pedestrians.
