Boundary Road Interchange Upgrade project completed six months ahead of schedule

The Boundary Road Interchange Upgrade project over the Bruce Highway at Narangba was officially opened on Friday 8 September, six months ahead of schedule.

The project, delivered for client Queensland Government Department of Transport and Main Roads, has transformed the area for the growing Narangba community, easing traffic congestion and providing a safer journey for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.

As part of the key transport infrastructure project, BMD Constructions successfully built a new six-lane bridge, completed new highway ramps, demolished the existing 40-year-old, two-lane bridge, constructed two new shared user bridges, and undertook resurfacing works on the Bruce Highway.

During construction, the project team exemplified BMD’s commitment to Zero Harm, completing the project lost time injury free.

The successful and safe delivery of the project six months ahead of schedule illustrates BMD Constructions’ capacity to deliver road and highway infrastructure through collaborative contracting, innovative construction methods and highly experienced personnel.
