Success at the Queensland Engineering Excellence Awards

BMD Constructions celebrated the achievement of a ‘Highly Commended’ award at the 2013 Queensland Engineering Excellence Awards for the Port of Brisbane Motorway Upgrade project at an awards ceremony held in Brisbane on Friday 6 September 2013.

The Queensland Engineering Excellence Awards aims to identify, recognise and reward outstanding achievement, eminence in the practice of engineering, and conspicuous service to the profession.

BMD Constructions entered this award with Joint Venture partner Seymour Whyte Constructions, principal designer GHD and client, Department of Transport and Main Roads, in the ‘Project Management’ award category.

This award recognises the management of a project and the engineering work that achieves client requirements in harmony with the environment, business and community considerations, plus meets time, cost and quality targets.
