Due to significant growth opportunities in the division, Jmac are in the market for a Landscape Estimator to price a range of diverse landscape projects in South East Queensland.  

This role will be based from our Port of Brisbane office (until we move into our new office in Wynnum in a couple of years).

Responsibilities:

• Formulation and submission of tender in a team of four
• Estimating support to office and site staff
• Liaise with clients / consultants / subcontractors / suppliers
• Tender negotiations
• Review tender summary
• Follow up future project leads
• Coordinate tender handover to Project team
• Maintain tender register
• Update supplier list
• Develop library of Local Authority standards
• Complete tender site visits / assessments
• Review job performance vs. tender
• Complete quantity checks

Estimating projects in:

• Land development –  (Landscape works for Residential and Industrial Sub-divisions).
• Maintenance and Public Infrastructure.
• Streetscapes and walkways.
• Commercial infrastructure.

Desired Skills and experience include:

• 1-4 years + experience in Construction industry
• A mix of project and estimating experience is ideal
• First principle estimating experience.
• Development of subcontractor work packages and review.
• Exposure to Expert Estimation is desirable
